High Speed Rail is toward the end of the agenda so you can likely arrive at 1:30 and be fine.

Come show your opposition to NC3 and support for the City to advocate alternatives with NCDOT!

I sure hope they reconsider and ask for more time on Friday. BTW, how do you watch the council meetings online?

Crowder suggested/recommended studying possibility of elevated tracks/viaduct from Wake Forest Road from the North into downtown and along Capital Blvd (not within either of the NC3 or NC1/2 corridors) together with a host of other possibilities for redevelopment in the Capital Blvd Corridor. Part of this idea is to extend the downtown street grid into the Capital Blvd Corridor (for instance extending West Street all the way to Wake Forest Road).

I was watching it online and one of the counsel members gave this long speech and sounded like he was proposing another route up near wake forest road. Didn’t catch the specifics of where though and how it would run through downtown. Does anyone have a better understanding of what he was saying?

It appears as if the Council delayed selecting any route until further discussion and investigation is done, per WRAL.
