The NC3 plan that I could see on the map would definitely negatively impact my property values. We own the house we live in and two adjacent rental properties in the Georgetown subdivision. Should this project go through in this neighborhood, the vibration, pollution, and noise coupled with the decrease in property value would simply ruin our lives.

Hi Richard, we have 2 organizers from Georgetown who were just idenified today. David Simmons on New Rd and Anna Hamburg on Ggtown. Could you get in touch with them or email me at dontrailroadhistoricfivepoints@gmail.com and I’ll forward to them.

Hope to see you at the CAC meeting tomorrow night. Thanks!

Diana – I had the same question. That line is labeled the “corridor limits” but not exactly sure what that means. It appears to be about 500′ off the rail line in the section that runs through Roanoke Park. Guessing this is showing the area that will be most impacted by the rail but nothing has been clearly defined. The real information/data that has been given on the level of noise, vibration and aesthetic impact on our neighborhood is non existent.

Regarding the map…can anyone tell me what the slim dashed yellow line that runs around the entire railroad indicates? I don’t see anything that matches it on the legend.
